Description
Acer shirasawanum ‘Jordan’ is believed to be the offspring of Acer shirasawanum and Acer palmatum, combining some characteristics of each parent. The leaves emerge a fresh yellow in the spring, turning a limey-yellow for the summer and then a bonfire of oranges and reds for the autumn. Likes to be planted in half-sun/half-shade where it will thrive. More vigorous than Acer shirasawanum ‘Aureum’, the classic Full Moon Maple but with similar leaf shape and colouring. Perfectly happy in a pot but as with all trees, will grow much better in the ground.
