Description
Acer palmatum ‘Kingsville Variegated’ was introduced by Kingsville Nursery, Maryland and is surprisingly little known in the UK. The new growth tends to have a more orangey-pink colouring than other variegated maples but it holds its colour well throughout the season. Position in a spot that receives around half a day of sun to get the most white flecks on the foliage. The autumn colour tends to lean towards pinks and oranges but as with all maples, this an vary depending on whatever the weather’s doing!
We’ve only grown this cultivar for a couple of years but have found it to be fairly vigorous and generally pretty tough. If you’re looking for something a little unusual, then this may be for you…
