The Maples

We love talking about Acers and offering excellent customer service to ensure that you end up with the tree that’s right for you. Our nursery is open by appointment and we’d love to see you here if you’re able to visit. Alternatively, we attend a range of Plant Fairs around the south-east and are more than happy to bring along a tree to any one of these for you to collect.

Of course, the UK is a big place and we appreciate that we are just too far away for some of you to visit and choose your own tree. We can send the smaller trees via courier but tend not to do this in early spring as not only can the new leaves be easily damaged in transit, but it can also be a shock for the tree. Once the foliage has hardened off (from around June onwards), this shouldn’t be a problem at all. For larger trees, we can deliver using our own transport – please just ask.

We are a small-batch grower, propagating a wide range of Japanese maples but only a few of each type. This means we can offer an interesting, often-changing selection of Acer palmatum cultivars and various other Acer species, so there will always be another to add to your collection!
